Poonam Dhillon is an Indian Hindi film, theatre and TV actress. She came to lime light after being crowned Miss Young India 1978 at the age of 16 years. She received nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role in the film Noorie. She is also active in theatre works and acted in numerous plays including The Perfect Husband, The Perfect Wife, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi etc. In lead roles she appeared in more than 90 Bollywood films and known for her pair with Rajesh Khanna. Her 2020 release includes Jai Mummy Di.

Yash Chopra discovered and launched Poonam Dhillon in his directorial film TRISHUL (1978), she was also cast as the lead actress in the film NOORIE (1979) directed by Manmohan Krishna under the YRF banner at the same time.
